I'm traveling to Alaska in August on the Oosterdam thru Holland America. We are whale watching , otter watching, going to the raptor center and going on the Jeep/Canoe adventure. Any suggestions or comments on the excurions or on the boat especially??

All I can say is make sure to have on hand a good extra set of clothes. Sweater, jacket, wind breaker, fitted hat, socks, shoes...ect. Any time I've ever gone to do any of those things, I always end up needing some extra clothes.

Be sure to go to the Mendehall glacier, the Bucket of Blood Saloon, and look for Eagles everywhere. You are going to have a wonderful time. Holland America is my favorite cruise line. The food alone is to die for. The service is outstanding and everything is elegant. Also the entertainment is excellent. Wish I were going again.
